Naughty Snake is a Chinese featherweight robot which competed in the 2018 King of Bots UK International Championships. Entered by Team Unknown Son (listed as Team Snake), builders of seasoned King of Bots heavyweight Greedy Snake, it had a mixed run of success in the main competition, finishing two of its qualification rounds second and winning one over Mini ACE and Sabre20 on a Judges’ decision. Naughty Snake earned enough points to qualify for the 8 Way Melee, but lost the latter to Barróg, resulting in its elimination from the 2018 UK International Championships.
Naughty Snake enjoyed significantly more success in the Annihilator, where it reached the final round and finished runner-up to Neon.
In addition to its 2018 UK International Championship run, Naughty Snake also fought in several domestic live events organized by King of Bots, including the 2018 event in Hangzhou.[1]
Design[]
Naughty Snake is an orange and dark grey robot with a low box-shaped chassis, a titanium construction and a four-wheel drive system. The robot’s main weapon is a front-mounted vertical bar spinner, rotating at 5,000rpm, which is primarily used to flip and cause heavy damage to opponents. On either side of the spinner, Naughty Snake features a pair of large angled wedges with spiked tips, each used to protect the front wheels and guide other robots into the spinner itself. Naughty Snake’s weapon mount incorporated the Chinese flag as well as a pair of black castor wheels, allowing the robot to drive on its rear wheels when inverted.

At the inaugural Fighting My Bots featherweight championship in 2016, the team's featherweight Gagu Snake competed, using the same weapon system as the Season 1-1.5 version of Greedy Snake. It won the competition, defeating Little Beelzebub from Impasse in the final, prior to both teams battling each other in King of Bots.[2]
